      Karl-Heinz Römmich was born in 1953 and has built guitars for over 40 years. His instruments are very sought after for the deepness and complexity of tone. Built following the Spanish tradition, Römmich guitars are made with the finest woods, dried over four decades, are entirely hand-made, and french polished.

     Prominent guitarists such as Artyom Dervoed, Marcin Dylla, Hans-Werner Huppertz, Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Thu Le,Thomas Offermann, Pavel Steidl, Marko Topchii, Roman Viazovskiy and Xue Fei Yang, just to name a few, played on Römmich guitars.

  Inspired by the famous Spanish luthiers we have been making classical guitars for over 30 years. We also make historical copies of Romantic guitars based on Panormo, Lacote, Staufer etc. Due to our superior building skills our instruments faithfully reflect the characteristics of the Spanish school of guitar making with a beautiful, distinguished and long sustaining tone.

    Our carefully selected mature woods are a major contributing factor in the quality of the construction of our instruments. The soundboards are of either Canadian cedar, or spruce from the German, Austrian, and Swiss Alps as well as from Bosnia. For the sides and back only the best rosewood is used. The necks are of Hondurian cedar and Swietenia mahagoni; and the fingerboards are ebony. Only natural glues such as fish and hide-glues are employed and all our guitars are French polished.

     Our instruments can be heard on countless recordings. In 2008 world stars such as Xuefei Yang and Roman Viazovskiy ordered guitars from us.
